I was put on a preventive suspension for 5 days due to neglect of duty, I am working as a supervisor in a BPO company. I received an NTE letter that would last for 5 days, I provided my explanation in less than 5 days, but they won't let me report for work while the case is still ongoing and now it is more than a month and I haven't received any NOTICE OF DECISION. Am I not eligible for payroll for those days while the case is ongoing? and why did the company take more than a month to decide?" - Lino G. "If the employer sent a notice of preventive suspension can the employee go to duty or report at work or not anymore?" Hyacynth T. Interesting topics. So in this episode, paguusapan natin ang: - Preventive suspension - Difference from regular suspension - What can you do with it - What can't you do with it This episode is brought to you by "The Complete Employee Discipline System" A book that teaches owners, managers, and supervisors how to handle any offense easily and systematically. It provides step-by-step procedures from incident reports all the way to the clearance process. Stand your ground and discipline with confidence. Go to info.legalguide.ph/discipline to learn more.

What if youโre going to sell a property you inherited but itโs still in the name of your parents? How should you settle the estates of a deceased married couple? Where should you pay the estate tax for each of them? A lot of the properties we help buy or sell, are usually inherited properties that are still in the name of the parents, grandparents, or even siblings of grandparents. And the big problem here which complicates the sale is that all their estates have not yet been settled. This is the question of one of our viewers, Anthony and he writes: โProperty is located in QC with both names under mother and father. Mother died in the province as indicated in the death cert. Father died in QC as indicated in death cert. My father died a few years after my mother. Will the estate tax be settled 50% in the province and 50% in QC?โ If youโre having issues transferring your land or have issues transferring the properties of a loved one who passed away, we have something that can help. We recorded an FAQ session where we answered the most common questions related to estate settlement. You can access the recording by going to https://legalaccess.ph/ and choosing the estate settlement topic there.

We all know that our Constitution currently prohibits foreigners from owning land in the Philippines. But does this apply to Filipinos, who became citizens of another country?
A lot of our countrymen who worked abroad for many years want to eventually retire back here in the motherland. But what if theyโve already gained citizenship in that other country? Can they still come back to the Philippines and own property? This is the question of one of our viewers, Bobby E and he writes:

Here are a few options on how we can help further:
1. If you want to schedule a private legal consultation with us or see if a legal team can help you, we're happy to consider that. You can go to https://legalaccess.ph/ and then choose the appropriate topic on the site to apply for a legal consultation. In the alternative, if you prefer free legal representation (pro-bono), here is a list of recommended legal teams that can provide you with help for free: https://www.legalguide.ph/where-to-ask-for-free-legal-assistance
2. If you want to submit a question that we may answer on our show, please submit show questions at https://legalguideph.frill.co/, and if your question gets enough votes, we'll definitely consider making an episode about it.
3. If you just want more information on different legal topics, my advice is to check out our articles at https://www.legalguide.ph/ or better yet, enroll in our workshops at legalguideph.gurucan.com
