Have you heard the terms “the sound of revival” or a church trying to “find their own sound?” These phrases can be exciting, but they can also be confusing!
Every church and community has their own unique sound that the Lord wants them to capture and release. But many don't recognize this is the case and therefore don't explore the authentic sound of their own community. The ones that go on a quest to find this, impact communities in a transformational way, and even impact nations.
In this episode, I talk about the significance and beauty of tuning into the song of the Lord in the sound of the people. This looks different in every community. Let's learn to love singing global worship songs, but not at the expense of the unique sound that is yearning to rise up in our gatherings!
By understanding and harnessing the power of the local, unique sound, we can create meaningful and impactful worship that carries the influence and power of Heaven.
Special thanks to Dan McCollam, our Sounds of the Nations Founder who has instilled this deep, life changing truth in us. Seeing this activated in nations is a joy!

“Which is more important, Theology or Encounter?” is a question I often get asked.
In this episode, we answer exactly that! Does encountering and experiencing God supersede the theology of scripture? We can often see churches swing on either side of the pendulum, but what if I told you that theology and encounter are meant to work together to experience the fullness of God and all He has for His people? In this episode, we discuss why, without truth, our experiences won’t have a foundation to stand firm upon and how experiences are the fruit of our relationship with God.

From rock N' roll to spearheading a global revival movement, the journey of my dear friend Daniel Hagen stands as a testament to the transformative power of Jesus. In our conversation, Dan and I talk about the journey of staying grounded and intimate with Jesus while leading a huge worship platform, the song that the world so desperately needs to hear, and how we worshipers are being called to the battleground. All this and so much more!
In 2003, Daniel Hagen radically surrendered his life to Jesus Christ in a powerful encounter that would shake up his world of sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll. His heart was overrun with the love of God, and his songs began to overflow with his affection for the Father.
Daniel’s rock band, The Hollows, was on the verge of scoring a six-figure record deal. His love for Jesus compelled him to walk away from the life of fame and fortune and pursue knowing the Father more and making Him known to the nations.
As he fell more in love with Jesus, He began to lead teams of everyday believers out onto the streets, where they would preach the gospel and demonstrate God’s love through signs & wonders.
Daniel is the Associate Director of Awakening Australia with Ben Fitzgerald, and is the leader of Awakening Music. Awakening is now a global movement, and their events are joined by thousands from all over the world with one purpose – the nations for Jesus!
Daniel and Chelsea are happily married with four children and are the senior ministers of Fire Church ministries. Today, Daniel and Chelsea Hagen plant and oversee Fire Churches in Queensland and Victoria.

Can you genuinely connect with the Holy Spirit despite time limitations?
In today's episode, I delve into this topic, drawing from a session I led for our worship team at our East Location of NEUMA Church . With our ongoing revival, our worship can spontaneously overflow. This leads to logistical challenges. We don't want to put pressure on our teams, especially with back-to-back services, Kids' Church, scheduling, and other programs - so how do we be sensitive to both them AND move with Holy Spirit?
Tune in as I share some practical tips on moving with the Holy Spirit during our services. I talk about the importance of knowing Him, meditating on scripture, and letting go of frustrations. I also address the role of the worship team and the power of praise in creating an atmosphere of intimacy with the Father. Get ready for a powerful Sunday!
Here’s What We Discussed:
[00:01] Introducing How to Balance Worship and Time Constraints
[02:01] How to Go With the Ghost While Being Mindful of Time Frames

In the words of Steve Tebb, “The moment you get saved, you are born into a war zone.” And worship leaders are at the forefront of the battleground, leading generations in advancing The Kingdom. In this episode, we delved into the heart of worship leading and how its essence lies not on the platform but in the secret, intimate moments with God. We tackle how to overcome songwriter's block and why worship teams hesitate to write music. All this and more!
Steve Tebb has been leading worship for over 15 years and travels full-time as an Itinerant Worship Leader with a heart to bless churches, ministries, and events around the UK. He also travels internationally, leading worship, as well as speaking, equipping, and training teams. He is currently in the process of recording and is on the cusp of releasing his new album, Stand In Awe.
Steve is passionate about seeing the true worshipers of God being awakened in the global body through corporate worship with fresh fire and love for Jesus. His desire is that it would lead to lives healed, set free, delivered, transformed, and renewed by the glory of God in order to carry out the gospel and Kingdom on earth.
