Todd is 40 years old and he has been on the carnivore diet for just over 9 months. He weighed approximately 715 to 760 lbs when he started the carnivore diet. At 14 years old, he weighed 600 lbs, and he currently weighs 470 lbs. He was confined to a chair for over 2 years. He needed oxygen 24 hours a day. He suffered from congestive heart failure, reactive airway disease, lymphedema, pre-diabetes, suicidal depression, anxiety, recurring gout, gum disease, high blood pressure, and his resting pulse was always around 100 bpm. He couldn't stand for more than 90 seconds at a time, and he had neuropathy in his feet and lower legs. His oxygen saturation had been below 88% since he was 18 years old. Now, he is completely off oxygen, and his saturation level is 96%. His resting heart rate is between 68 to 70 bpm.

Since he was a child, Sean struggled with anemia of chronic inflammation and mixed connective tissue disease. His symptoms became worse when he was in college, and after visiting a rheumatologist, he was put on hydroxychloroquine for immunosuppression. In 2019, he was working on a gut microbiome research project at the University of Arizona. During that time, an undergraduate student mentioned to him how an all-beef diet may be of benefit to autoimmune disease.
Having been thoroughly indoctrinated into medical culture, he was firmly in the grasp of a pescatarian lifestyle. He would eat fruit, corn chips, vegetables, and hummus daily, with an occasional can of sardines. His hemoglobin was steadily dropping along with his exercise tolerance, he was experiencing worsening joint pain, and began having simple partial seizures. A rheumatologist then recommended starting stronger immunosuppressive therapy such as azathioprine.
That's when he remembered what the student had told him and he found the work of Dr. Shawn Baker and Paul Saladino. In 2020, very shortly after he started the strict carnivorous diet, strictly red meat and butter, he experienced nothing short of a miraculous resolution of his symptoms. Joint pain abated, normocytic anemia resolved within several months for the first time in his life, and seizure activity resolved. As he became more interested in the work of Paul Saladino, he began touting the dangers of long-term ketosis and the benefits of fruit and honey. Regrettably, he followed this advice over the course of the next 2 years.
Although his autoimmune disease did not return, his seizures became more frequent and eventually more severe, requiring him to start taking Keppra, an antiepileptic medication. He didn't think that the cause could be his copious consumption of sugary fruits and massive amounts of honey. He then began to read criticisms of this strategy and, honestly, his respect for Dr. Saladino deteriorated with his incessant promotion of dubious organ pills. Since this past winter, he's been consistently in ketosis, eating zero carbohydrates, with commensurate steady improvement in the temporal lobe epilepsy.
Recent publications such as 'Brain Energy' by Dr. Chris Palmer have highlighted to him how important brain metabolism is for neurological conditions. He hopes that no one else makes the same mistake and reaps all the incredible benefits of long-term ketosis through a carnivorous diet.

Thanos is a Greek medical doctor, who specialized in internal medicine and was trained in Germany, with additional expertise in subspecialties like infectious diseases and medical nutrition. Chad is 60 years old and has been on the carnivore diet for over 3.5 years, and Keto for 1 year before that. He has been married for over 24 years with a wonderful wife and 2 great kids ages 14 and 19. They currently reside in Phoenix, Arizona. Now that he is back in shape, he enjoys living a healthier and happier life. He can now revisit his passions like backpacking and bike riding.
Before he became significantly overweight, his younger years were filled with activity. In his early 20s, he taught snowboarding and, for 8 years, he taught scuba diving for 15 years until his early 40s, primarily on Lanai, Maui, and in the Caribbean. He was the typical lean and fit scuba/beach guy weighing 178 lbs. Being young and highly active, he could indulge in any food of his choice. He often consumed excessive amounts of rice, sugary teriyaki sauce, and other sugary treats, although he also ate plenty of fish and fresh meat.
Unfortunately, he developed a lung problem due to volcanic gases, which forced him to move to the mainland. His activity levels decreased, his dietary habits worsened, and he could no longer pursue hunting or fishing. He gained weight and stopped monitoring his weight when he reached 275 lbs, frustrated by his deteriorating condition. This led to a period of depression. He tried various diets, including green juicing, but none seemed to work. While the Keto diet improved how he felt, it didn't help him lose weight. He often found himself consuming too many "substitute" foods which didn't help him break old eating habits. Then, he discovered the Carnivore diet, and it transformed his life.
In the first year of his carnivore journey, he returned to his former weight of 178 lbs, reminiscent of his 20s and 30s. For the subsequent 2.5 years, he has effortlessly maintained this weight: always satiated, never falling ill, and exercising with impressive recovery rates. All the benefits he'd heard about the Carnivore diet proved true for him.
In addition to the weight loss, the severe allergies he had even in his younger years have now completely disappeared, which he finds nothing short of miraculous. His persistent sinusitis has also vanished, and he no longer experiences joint pain. Today, he leads a highly active life, and his sleep quality has drastically improved. He wakes up naturally with the sunrise, something he couldn't do before. He often remarks that he started the Carnivore diet for weight loss but continues because of the rejuvenating benefits it offers.
His next venture is to focus on building strength and muscle at 60 years of age. He plans to work out with "intention", and embark on a biweekly, year-long fun YouTube challenge named "carnivore strong" alongside two other Carnivore YouTube acquaintances.
