#22 RebellComedy - How it all began with Usus Mango (GERMAN)

GERMAN EPISODE (audio is fully in German) </p> In this episode I sat down with Comedian Usus Mango. He is best known for founding RebellComedy many years ago, which has now become the biggest comedic act in all of Germany. After going to one of the RebellComedy shows in Bonn myself, I knew I had to get him for the Podcast. I had never before felt so many feelings watching a German Stand up before. Not only was the show relatable for so many Germans with a migrant background, Usus truly has trailblazed a path of new comedy in Germany period. But it wasn't always easy. We discussed the harsh beginnings, when no one wanted to give Usus and his partner an opportunity to get on the Open Mic stage, because they didn't have 'the german' look. Usus also shared many other struggles and lessons learned early on, that I know will be helpful for other aspriring Comedians.
