The OSINT Jobs Podcast

Open Source Intelligence, or OSINT in short, has grown hugely in popularity. And so it's no surprise that it's being used across many industries. On this show, we sit down with successful practitioners to discuss open source intelligence careers, jobs and skills to get a deeper insight into the world of OSINT. Our mission at OSINT-Jobs.com is to help the open source intelligence community grow their skills and advance their careers. We envision that by empowering OSINT practitioners worldwide, we can push the boundaries in this multi-facetted profession.

Available Episodes 10

Nico Dekens — better known online as the Dutch OSINT Guy — has spent decades at the cutting edge of open-source intelligence.

With a background in Dutch law enforcement and roles at Bellingcat, the SANS Institute, and ShadowDragon, Nico brings a rare mix of operational expertise, tool development, and community leadership.

In this episode, we talk about why good digital hygiene is essential, how staying curious (and a little nerdy) can supercharge your investigations, and how he uses OSINT to fuel his retro sneaker addiction.

Sylvain Hajri has worn many hats in the world of open-source intelligence — from OSINT community builder to reality TV consultant tracking celebrities on the run. As the founder of search engine Epieos and French community OSINT FR, Sylvain has built tools and networks that empower analysts across the globe.

In this episode, we dive into his earliest memories of OSINT, the ethics of building intelligence tools, and the hunter mindset that separates good investigators from great ones.

Brian Fuller brings a rare perspective to open-source intelligence—one that bridges military, academic, and professional worlds. A former intelligence analyst with the U.S. Army, he now oversees Mercyhurst University’s Intelligence Studies program, helping shape the next generation of analysts.

In this episode, we talk about how OSINT became a recognized discipline in the military and what students (and mid-career analysts) need to know to build successful careers

A former OSINT analyst with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Ritu Gill has been at the forefront of the field since the early 2000s.

You probably recognize her name from LinkedIn, where she blasts out challenges, tips and tricks to her thousands of followers. Or maybe you’re a loyal user of her Chrome extension, Forensic OSINT, used for forensic-grade screen captures.

In this episode, we talk about the philosophy behind "OSINT for good," how Ritu got her start in open-source investigations, and the absolute best resources out there for beginners.

Constantly demystifying the high seas, Rae Baker has become a trusted expert in uncovering hidden activity on the water.

She’s also the author of Deep Dive, the best book you can buy to kickstart your OSINT journey. It covers everything from the fundamentals of open-source intelligence and operational security to advanced topics like cryptocurrency tracking and critical infrastructure analysis. Here’s the full table of contents.

Today, Rae joins us to discuss her investigative process, her career in OSINT, and what it takes to track global maritime activity.

From pinpointing where Israeli airstrikes have landed in Gaza and Beirut to analyzing Russian troop positions— our next guest has helped New York Times readers see through the fog of modern warfare with precision and clarity.

Most famously, our guest discovered the identity of the Air National Guard member who was leaking national secrets, the biggest such leak since Edward Snowden. You can catch up on that 2023 story here.

Today, we’re joined by Aric Toler of the New York Times Visual Investigations team. Spend some time poring through his long list of bylines and investigations, or follow along to hear Aric discuss them himself.

For the first episode of our brand new season, we have the one and only Jordan Wildon. If you’ve seen Telegram in the news recently, or read the excellent OSINT-aided New York Times investigation, How Telegram Became a Playground for Criminals, Extremists, and Terrorists, you’ll understand why Jordan is the perfect guest to kick things off.
