When a friend called, a little frustrated that her long-awaited appointment with a medium had been hijacked by Nick (Lisa’s recently deceased husband), the message that she had from him and what immediately followed, left Lisa is no doubt that Nick was still around, in some capacity.

There have been many examples of this since September 2019, when he passed, but this one message has meant so much to her and the children over the years.

Listen to the story to hear what it was.

Lisa didn’t get the births she wanted for her kids. The first lesson in surrendering as a mother was in the birth of her eldest son.

But it was the words she heard from a midwife at the hospital as she was attempting to latch her son to her breast that changed the trajectory of her parenting journey for good.

The words that she heard she’d never forget and are her compass point to this day.

How is Lisa’s life ongoingly affected from the years of living with an alcoholic?

Recently she had an encounter with a man that revealed that even though she was never abused physically, verbally, emotionally by her husband, there was underlying damage done over the years.

This is the story of an extreme response to a very ‘normal’ situation and how she loves herself through it.

It’s story-telling time on the podcast!

In this episode, I’m sharing a story about a conversation I had with my kids about why the heck I’d ever choose to do public speaking.

As teens and tweens entering into such a dynamic time of their life, where discomfort is unavoidable it was a brilliant conversation showing them what’s possible for us when we step outside our comfort zone.

In this episode, Lisa shares the complexity around sharing the story of her former husband’s death.

Not knowing when to share, what to share, and whether to share was an issue for her for a long time.

You’ll hear about her journey from committing never to tell the story, to experimenting with her voice, to claiming her own story and honouring him in the process.

If you’re someone who has a story to tell or shares content online, then you won’t want to miss her Live Workshop this coming Tuesday.
