A series illustrating the work, performance, and reflections of artists in Nova Scotia and the rich grassroots culture of the Maritimes. Originally produced as a radio series by the Naropa Institute of Canada, and broadcast in Halifax on CKDU-FM in 1989. The programs are organized and edited so that the artists and performers speak for themselves: their thoughts and feelings are blended with their own stories, music, songs, poetry, dramatic performances and archival recordings.
In this conversation from June 2007, Jerry Granelli talks about building Trungpa Rinpoche’s mandala, remaining true to your understanding of his vision, substance abuse, and the pitfalls of imitating the guru.
