Join Logan's Garden Shop (or Logan Trading Company. or simply just "Logan's") for a gardening podcast that goes beyond the planting and digs deep into YOUR love of gardening. Hosted by celebrated teacher, speaker, and horticulturist, Bryce Lane.Bryce discovered his passion for plants and telling others about them while working at a small Massachusetts garden center throughout high school and college. After earning his BS and MS in Horticulture, he came to the Department of Horticultural Science at NC State University as an Instructor and Undergraduate Teaching Coordinator. He spent thirty-four years teaching and advising over 20,000 students. Although Bryce retired in 2014 he still teaches part-time at NC State. For eleven seasons he hosted and produced the three-time, Emmy winning, UNC TV public television show “In the Garden With Bryce Lane.” Logan's is a family owned, award-winning garden center located in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. From flowers to fountains, houseplants to hoses, ponds, trees, shrubs, and statuary we have everything you need for your gardening, home decor, and landscaping needs.      In this episode of the Logan Trading Company Podcast, Horticultural Professor, Bryce Lane talks to us about how to really take advantage of the benefits of  “Pot-Scaping” or “Gardening In Containers”. Bryce gives us a few helpful tips on how we can be successful gardeners even when there’s limited space for plants and time for digging in the dirt. Did you know that Americans are spending between 1.5-2 billion dollars a years on containers?! WOW!!! Even our baby boomers have been taking advantage of this flexible and mobile way of gardening. They can downsize and reduce their workload while still scratching that “gardening” itch. So, whether you have a patio, deck, a walkway or even a simple porch, container gardening can be a great way to accent all of your living spaces.
