SIT and LISTEN before you GO and DO.” In this podcast, we will go on a journey together (I’m in the middle with you) to learn how to slow down and “Be Right There” today. Hey Mama,

In today’s episode, we’re setting aside a few moments for a guided prayer over the upcoming election. With everything going on in our nation, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or unsure about the future, but we’re leaning on God’s Word and trusting in His sovereignty. Together, we’ll pray for peace, wisdom for our leaders, and unity for our nation, lifting up scriptures about trusting in God, righteousness, and praying for those in authority. Below you can find the prayer points and the scriptures!

1. Trusting in God’s Sovereignty
  • Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6 – "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
  • Prayer Points:
    • Pray for trust in God’s wisdom and guidance, especially when outcomes are uncertain.
    • Surrender any anxiety or personal biases, asking for God’s peace.
    • Ask for the Holy Spirit to align our hearts with God’s plan.
  • Scripture: Isaiah 41:10 – "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
2. Righteousness Prevailing
  • Scripture: Psalm 33:12 – "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance."
  • Prayer Points:
    • Pray for our nation to honor God in laws, decisions, and justice.
    • Ask for the election to be led by integrity, wisdom, and truth.
    • Pray for a spirit of unity that respects God’s ways over divisiveness.
  • Scripture: Proverbs 14:34 – "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people."
3. Praying for Those in Authority
  • Scripture: 1 Timothy 2:1-2 – "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."
  • Prayer Points:
    • Pray for current and future leaders to be granted wisdom, humility, and discernment.
    • Ask for God to guide leaders in making decisions that promote peace and godliness.
    • Offer God thanks for our leaders who are genuinely seeking God’s guidance.
  • Scripture: Romans 13:1 – "Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God."

hey mama,

In today’s episode, we're diving into six simple, meaningful habits that can help bring calm, joy, and a little extra peace into your home. These routines are designed to work seamlessly into your daily rhythm, making it easier to connect with Jesus, create order, and engage with your kids in ways that matter.

Show Notes:
  • The Power of the Candle
  • Morning Routine: Start your morning by lighting a candle, making a quick prayer or gratitude list, and setting an intention for the day. Take a moment to open the Word and read one verse to set your heart toward Jesus. This practice was inspired by a mentor from my first job as an SLP, and it stuck with me!
  • Dinner Routine: Inspired by Habits of the Household, light a candle at the table before meals, and say together, “Christ is light.” This routine helps center family time, even if it's not consistent every day.
  1. Empty the dishwasher while coffee is brewing
  • Pretty self explanatory, but it has been a game changer for my family and a way to keep the kitchen clean throughout the day.
  1. Morning Thank Yous with the Kids
  • How It Works: When we're driving to BSF or PDO, we kick off the morning by saying, “Jesus, we love You this morning! Thank You for…” I start the sentence, and the kids fill in with things they’re thankful for. This small practice helps set everyone’s heart in the right place, no matter how the morning’s been.
  1. The Tidy Cue or 10-Minute Reset
  • How It Works: Right after breakfast, lunch, and before dinner, I set a timer for 5–10 minutes and focus on tidying one area. I get the kids involved too, having them pick up specific items like blocks or books. The quick reset keeps things manageable, and everyone feels calmer with less clutter.
  1. Jammie Cleaning
  • When to Do It: Right after bath time, when the kids are clean and in their pajamas, we have a fun pick-up session. Toys go in baskets, blankets are folded, and shoes go in closets. It doesn't need to be perfect, but it prevents the day from carrying yesterday’s mess into tomorrow.
  1. Meal Prep Light
  • Inspiration: Inspired by Be Well by Kelley, this routine is all about prepping just a few basics, like washing fruits, chopping veggies, or cooking simple proteins, over the weekend. Throughout the week, it makes meal prep and lunch packing faster and keeps dinnertime smoother with fewer dishes.

Each of these routines is designed to work for the busiest of moms, keeping your day simpler, smoother, and focused on what truly matters. I hope you try them out and find a little more joy and calm in your day!

Hey mama,

In today’s episode of the Be Right There podcast, we’re diving into the struggle many of us mamas face—comparing their motherhood journey to someone else’s. Whether it’s scrolling through Instagram or watching another mom at the park, it’s easy to feel like we don’t measure up. But comparison steals our joy and keeps us from fully embracing the unique calling God has placed on our lives. We’ll explore how God has equipped each of us for our own motherhood journey, and how to combat this comparison.

Throughout this episode, I’ll share personal experiences and dive into key scriptures like Galatians 6:4-5, Ephesians 2:10, and 1 Thessalonians 5:18 to encourage you to embrace the highs and lows of your motherhood season. You’ll also get practical tips on building community with other moms without falling into competition. So, if you’ve ever found yourself feeling inadequate or stuck in the comparison trap, this episode is for you. Let’s embrace the freedom God offers when we stop comparing and start focusing on His unique plan for our family.
