JD Souther- Natural History (2011)

The Season 6 finale features 2011’s ‘Natural History’ by JD Souther. The 11 songs (our 13, depending on which version of the album by get) represent classics he wrote and or recorded. Souther was a brilliant vocalist, drummer, guitarist and performer but he’s best know as a brilliant songwriter. He was also generous with is time and appreciative of his fans. Judith Owen - Ebb and Flow

Don’t let the sweet and expressive vocals fool you on this Best of 2014 entry. Judith Owen, wife of Harry Shearer, knows how to craft a song. Her original compositions are outstanding. Anguish, betrayal and loss haven’t sounded this good since Linda Thompson’s 2013 release Won’t Be Long Now.
