I bring to you our new episode of The Urdu Show with Arooj Aftab’s rendition of the evergreen ghazal ‘Mohabbat Karne Wale Kam Na Honge’ written by Hafeez Hoshiarpuri. This version has won a well deserving Grammy award. This ghazal is about the timelessness of love. No matter what happens in the world, love always remains in some form. I bring to you my next episode on The Urdu Show, ‘AAYE KUCH ABR’.

The ghazal rendition by Mehdi Hassan is written by my one of my favourite poets, Faiz Ahmed Faiz.

In this episode we discuss and explore the meaning of the beautiful composition ‘Aaye Kuch Abr’ in depth and also discuss a little about the poet’s life.

The ghazal is deeply stirring and has a mystic serenity to it. Hope you like this episode and understand the ghazal better after our discussion.

Thank you Kabir Kapoor ji, Founder of Cinema Satsang for bringing this to our viewers and thank you Namit Das for the beautiful rendition of this timeless song.

You can even watch this episode's video on Cinema Satsang Youtube Channel.

In this episode we delve deep into the soulful ghazal 'Na Rawa Kahiye' by Dagh Dehlvi.

This version is sung beautifully by Kavita Seth recently in 'A SUITABLE BOY' BY MIRA NAIR.

The song became popular with Farida Khanum's rendition and it still lives amongst us.

Thank you Kabir Kapoor ji, Founder of Cinema Satsang Film School for bringing this to our listeners.
